Our Mission
We exist to bring glory to God by exalting Christ to the ends of the Earth. As a family we hope to encourage and equip each other to grow in Christ and to weep and rejoice with each other through all of life’s happenings. As a church, we hope to represent God’s kingdom and together show Christ to one another and the world around us. As worshipers, we hope to glorify God and make Him known.
“The heart of a Christian is Christ’s garden, and his graces are like so many sweet spices and flowers which, when his Spirit blows on them, release a sweet aroma.”
— Richard Sibbs, The Bruised Reed
Our Beginning
In the spring of 2018, the seed of a church fellowship was planted in the living room of one faithful Christian family. It began with prayer and Bible study and fellowship and, of course, food. We were a small group of Christians meeting together as a part of Fountain Church in LaGrange. As the fellowship grew, a vision grew to reach out to the people of the Hogansville area with the gospel of Jesus. With the help and support of FC LaGrange, we endeavored to affirm pastoral leadership, begin corporate worship services, and function as a small part of God’s kingdom. We also set out to bring the light of the gospel to all in need of new life by encouraging and equipping each other to share the gospel with people we see every day. We started in a living room, grew to regular meetings in an old train depot, then the Hogansville Public Library. We continue to value meeting each other’s homes for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.
Get Involved
If you live near one of our gardens, get involved to receive portions of each harvest. We accept volunteers regardless of skill level. There is a rotation in roles, but we’ll teach you all the skills you need to know. Teenagers 14 years and older can earn community service credits for school in addition to getting produce for their families. Donations are also vital to our growth, as we use them for seed, fertilizer, tools, and outreach.
